navigating dynamics with your boss is so real anh ơi 🤝 i also tried to give feedback to my boss once. the principle i followed was to feedback on the situation/event, not on her as a person. there was a distinction between the problems of the situation and her personal qualities. but then i was still manipulated afterwards so idk :))

I am so sorry that you have to go thru such an experience. In my internship, I used to work with a manipulative, toxic, incapable boss who had severe superiority complex. A horrible human being! As much as I hated him, I had to be mindful about the pros and cons of every critical action (feedback to your boss, as in your case). Before taking any steps, I envisioned the worst scenario (what are the odds we're fired immediately/our project ideas be shattered) as detailed as possible. Next thing I did is to think of possible solutions for those scenarios. This way, I had the chance to rationally and clearly think about my situations and solutions. I think you already asked yourself some good questions, you may want to go a step further and contemplate the answers (which consequences does ruining the rapport between you and your boss bring? what can you do to alleviate them? what pluses will you reap?). The solution might not be an action only, (perhaps a strategic set of actions in order). May all the luck be with you!

(Follow up on my ranting earlier: I asked myself what would happen if that same situation lingered for 3 more weeks/months, and I decided to quit. I told the Talent Acquisition team the reasons why straightforward. The Director of the department knew about it, she then promoted me to work directly with her for the rest of the internship. Lucky me that I didn't choose to suffer.)

Thanks for the suggestions on cool tools! FYI, ahaslides is a Vietnam's product that might serve the same purpose with Menti (maybe some more features) :)
